Managing Director, Parker/Hunter Asset Management
Mark Luschini serves as the Chief Investment Strategist for Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, leading the Investment Strategy Group. In that capacity Mark is responsible for establishing the firm’s broad outlook relating to conditions in the capital markets and the economy and to develop investment strategies best suited to satisfy the goals and objectives of individual and institutional clients. He also establishes the firm’s asset allocation models used for portfolio construction and financial planning. Additionally, Mark directs Parker/Hunter Asset Management, the firm’s discretionary investment management division.
Under his leadership, Parker/Hunter Asset Management has delivered competitive investment results across multiple strategies. The total assets under management has grown to approximately $2 billion, with $1 billion in traditional equity and fixed income assets, and $1 billion in various strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies utilizing exchange-traded products and mutual funds.
He is a member of the Janney Wealth Management Department’s Mutual Fund and Alternative Investment Committees. In Parker/Hunter Asset Management, Mark chairs the Investment Committee which sets asset class and sector policy and directly participates in managing the equity, fixed income and asset allocation strategies under its advisory.
Mr. Luschini has spent more than twenty five years in the investment industry interfacing with both current and prospective clients. He utilizes that experience to speak on topics related to investment planning and asset management at seminars and conferences. His comments and written articles have been circulated in numerous publications ranging from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Philadelphia Inquirer to the New York Times, Barron’s, USA Today, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Money magazine and Worth. He has appeared in various media outlets including CNBC, Bloomberg Television, CNN, Fox Business News and PBS’s Nightly Business Report. He is a Trustee for Janney Montgomery Scott’s Pension & Profit Sharing Plan.
Greg Drahuschak
Market Strategist
Mr. Drahuschak joined Janney in 1991. He has over 35 years of economic experience and provides daily, weekly and monthly market commentary to Janney and our clients. Prior to joining the Firm, he worked as a retail broker with—and eventually transitioned into the research departments of —Butcher & Singer and Wheat First Securities. He was also an instructor at Robert Morris College and the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Drahuschak has written articles for several newspapers and websites, and has been the visiting expert on many live radio broadcasts. He earned his B.A. in fine arts from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, as well as certificates from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and from the New York Institute of Finance.
Guy Lebas
Chief Fixed Income Strategist
Mr. LeBas joined Janney in 2006 and is the Firm’s Chief Fixed Income Strategist. In this role, he works closely with Financial Consultants in providing customized investment strategies for a range of institutional and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Mr. LeBas authors in-depth economic and bond market periodicals and provides relative value recommendations across the fixed income spectrum.
Named among Bloomberg’s Best Bond Forecasters in multiple categories in the recently released third quarter 2010 rankings, Mr. LeBas was ranked seventh in both the 2-year treasuries and 3-month Libor categories, based on the accuracy of predictions made over the past 15 quarters beginning in 2007. Mr. LeBas is one of a select group of forecasters to be recognized for his performance in multiple categories.
Prior to joining Janney, Mr. LeBas was the Interest Rate Risk Manager for U.S. Trust’s bank asset and liability portfolios, a role in which he oversaw risk and return on an $11 billion balance sheet. He received his education from Swarthmore College and is a CFA Charterholder.
Michael Repak, CPA/PFS, JD, LLM
Vice President/Senior Estate Planner
Michael Repak is an attorney and a CPA/PFS who specializes in Estate and Tax Planning. He currently serves as a Senior Estate Planner with Janney’s High Net Worth Planning Group, part of the Firm’s Wealth Planning Department. He has over 25 years of professional experience and, prior to joining Janney, managed his own law practice in Yardley, PA which concentrated in the areas of elder law and estate planning. Mr. Repak has also served as a Senior Tax Manager with KPMG and Arthur Andersen and has been an adjunct professor with the MBA program at Temple University. Mr. Repak holds a JD from the University of Florida, a LLM from New York University and a Certificate in Estate Planning from Temple University. He has served on boards of several nonprofit and civic organizations and is a member of the Union League of Philadelphia.
Debra Roey
Director, Retirement Plan Services
Debra S. Roey joined Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC in November, 2006, as Janney Retirement Plan Services (JRPS) Manager. JRPS was founded in 1982 to provide Janney’s Corporate Retirement Plan Clients with support in plan design analysis, proposal procurement and review, investment fiduciary services, technical expertise and problem resolution.
Debra has over 25 years experience in the Retirement Plan arena. Prior to joining Janney, she served as Regional Director with Union Central Life Retirement and Investment Services. During her tenure, she received numerous sales awards including qualification for the company’s highest society membership. She also served on several corporate committees involved with Strategic Planning and Product Development.
Debra earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Rutgers University. She also has the following designations: CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), CHFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), and AIF (Accredited Investment Fiduciary).
